Under the Tree is een radioprogramma van Radio Rijnwoude, het lokale radiostation van Rijnwoude, gelegen in het midden van het Groene Hart, tussen Amsterdam, Rotterdam en Den Haag. Under the Tree is een roots muziekprogramma. Onder deze eeuwenoude boom veel aandacht voor traditionele en hedendaagse folkmuziek, maar ook goede moderne singer-songwriters, een beetje blues en american, af en toe wat wereldmuziek en soms een snuifje pop en rock. Of wel "Music and tunes with a heart". Samenstelling en presentatie: Hans Hoogeveen. Mijn liefde voor muziek begon in de jaren zestig met radio Luxemburg, Veronica en Caroline. De eerste lp was van the Byrds. Van pop, singer-songwriters, americana, countryblues naar folk en nog steeds bezeten van muziek    Inmiddels alweer 7 jaar bezig met Trouble Tree FolkConcerts en sinds een paar jaar met Under the Tree.   Iedere dinsdagavond van 21:00 tot 23:00 uur te beluisteren op 106.5 FM (ether) of 105.9 FM (kabel). De uitzendingen worden herhaald op donderdagmiddag van 14:00 tot 16:00 uur

Under the Tree is the name of a roots music program at Radio Rijnwoude, the local station in the center of the Green Heart of Holland, between Amsterdam, Rotterdam and the Hague. Under this old tree we present you traditional and modern days folk music, as well as the best modern singer-songwriters, a little blues, Americana and country, some world music and sip of pop and rock every now and then. What we always look for is "music and tunes with a heart". Produced and presented by Hans Hoogeveen. My love for music started in the sixties with radio Luxembourg, Veronica  and Caroline. The first record  I bought was an album of the Byrds. From popmusic, singer-songwriters, Amaricana, blues to folkmusic. Meanwhile seven years organiser of concerts with Trouble Tree FolkConcerts and the last three years with my radio program Under the Tree. Every Tuesday night from 21:00 to 23:00 hours at 106.5 FM (ether) of 105.9 FM (cable). The program is repeated every Thursday afternoon from 14:00 to 16:00 hours.

Na zeven jaar weer te gast bij TTFC  deze singersongwriter en een super  gitarist. Schrijft en zingt prachtige songs, liefdesliedjes, maar ook krachtige politiek getinte songs. Naast deze songs is zijn akoestische gitaarspel zijn handelsmerk en heel bijzonder. Ontwikkelde een complete stijl ontwikkeld van folk en blues gitaar “fingerpicking”.  Speelt met  zo’n duizelingwekkende vaart alsof de duivel hem op de hielen zit.

12-10-2008  Gutafo  (NL)

Muzikaal talent uit eigen omgeving. 13 april van dit jaar speelden zij vooraf bij concert van Johnny Silvo en dat was een geweldig optreden. Zuid-Amerikaanse invloeden, prachtig zangwerk en geweldig gitaarwerk. Wij, ons publiek en Johnny Silvo waren onder de indruk en zodoende snel weer terug bij TTFC. Gutafo bestaat uit Eller van Buuren en Yvo Sprey. Zij brengen een mix van country, jazz en blues voort. In 2005 mocht de singer-songwriter Eller van Buuren de Popscriptie Prijs 2005 in ontvangst nemen. Daarnaast staat Eller bekend als een allround gitarist, die (bijna) nergens voor terugdeinst...

Maalstroom geeft een geheel eigen draai aan Keltische folk. (Bas)klarinet, viool, gitaar/bouzouki, percussie en zang geven de grotendeels zelfgeschreven nummers hun eigen kleur. De muzikale inbreng van de vier heren bandleden wordt door de Maalstroom gehaald om het eigen bandgeluid vorm te geven: Michel Duijves (klarinet, basklarinet) is de drijvende kracht achter de groep. Zijn muzikale interesse is breed: hij speelt Klezmer in de Jewish Music Band, Ierse muziek met Mind the Midgie en geïmproviseerde muziek met Bite the Gnatze. Paul Pallesen (gitaar, bouzouki) is de drijvende kracht achter het zojuist vermelde Bite the Gnatze en Mind the Midgie en speelt daarnaast jazz en geïmproviseerde muziek met Drie Hoog Achter en the Astronotes. Gilles Rullmann (viool, gitaar, achtergrondzang) speelt viool met een zeldzaam soepele swing. Hij woonde een tijd in Ierland om de fijne kneepjes van het Ierse vioolspel te leren. Ze hebben een unieke stijl ontwikeld met roots in allerlei tradities Hun laatste album  Open Window start als een soort kamerfolk-cd, met een intieme dialoog tussen viool en klarinet, die evolueert naar een jig en via nog een tempowisseling eindigt in een obsederende reel met stevige gitaarondersteuning. Schitterend begin van een cd die blijft boeien tot het einde en met elke luisterbeurt  mooier wordt.
